 National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU)

NSYSU was established in 1980 in Kaohsiung City and has become one of the most promising universities in Taiwan. NSYSU has endeavored to pursue excellence in teaching and research and has been granted the "Aim for the Top University Plan" funding by the Ministry of Education to strive for excellence in both teaching and research. 

The NSYSU campus is uniquely located on the edge of the Hsitzi Bay looking at the Kaohsiung Harbor with the mountains in the back. This strategic geography prompted NSYSU to focus advancements in marine research to become the leading academic institution in marine sciences in Taiwan.

 Admission Schedule

Fall Semester:March 15th to April 30th 
The semester will begin in mid-September to January 

Spring semester: October 15th to November 30th. 
The semester will begin in mid-Feb. to June. 

 

 Dorm

Dorm fee is charged per semester, excluding summer and winter vacations. The fee ranges from NT$8,500 to NT $17,000, and you will share a room with either 1 or 3 roommates depending on dormitories. International Village is designed for 2 students sharing a room. Other dorms are designed for 4 students sharing a room. Each student will be provided with a bed, bookshelf, desk, lamp, closet, chair, and a sink for common use in the room. Students will have to take care of your own bedding and mattress.

*Note: Electricity bill will be given every two months. Fees can be paid at any convenience store or Post Office in Taiwan.​
